With Easter and school holidays coming up, you’ll probably need no end of fun DIY activities to help keep the kids busy while they’re off school. We love these cute Easter baskets and we’re sure your kids will too!
Easter baskets are key to starting Easter Sunday festivities off in a delicious way! Backyard egg hunts after a visit from the Easter bunny are always filled with excitement and laughter. Whether your hunt is a free-for-all or a carefully arranged treasure trail, having your own basket makes collection easy!
What you’ll need:
- Noodle boxes
- Paper cups
- Paper party bags
- Coloured paper, crepe paper or tissue paper
- Flower stickers
- Lettering stickers
You will need either a paper cup, paper bag or noodle box to create one of the three Easter baskets – for individual instructions, see below.
Paper cup basket – Cut the top half off the cup. Use a stapler or glue to attach it to the cup for the handle. Glue some grass made from tissue or crepe paper around the cup, then decorate with flower stickers.
Paper bag basket – Fold the bottom of the bag in on itself, so it is flat. Cut out two rectangles from the top opening, leaving two strips in the centre of the bag, fold these over to form a handle. Use a hot glue gun or double-sided tape to attach the decorations. Use crepe or tissue paper to create a nest for the eggs.
Bunny noodle box – Cut paper to create a bunny face and feet. Attach to the front of the box, then use lettering stickers for the name. Attach a pompom to the back for the tail.
